Sofrimar lands Seafood Exporter of the Year 2011
On Friday 11th November 2011, Sofrimar were named “Seafood Exporter of the Year 2011” at the annual Export Industry Awards held in the Convention Centre, Dublin. The award was presented, at a Gala Dinner, by Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mr Richard Bruton T.D., to the Managing Director, Mr Leslie Bates.
Sofrimar are delighted to have won such a prestigious award for the second time, having previously been honoured in 2007. The judging panel were particularly impressed with, the strong growth Sofrimar has achieved, their success in market development and product innovation, the continued focus on research and development, all vital elements of their corporate growth and marketing strategy.
Speaking at the Awards Dinner, Leslie Bates, Managing Director of Sofrimar said, “I am delighted to accept the Seafood Exporter of the Year 2011 award on behalf of the team at Sofrimar. The award is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our management and staff. It would not have been possible without the quality of supply sourced from local fishermen and the continued support of our many customers worldwide. It is a significant achievement for Sofrimar and I would like to dedicate the award to all who have contributed to this success”.
